Lessons are offered in monthly sessions beginning on the 1st of every month.
Students should be signed up 7 days prior to the session start date.
Mid month signup is available to new classes if open spots are available.
Late registration for new students will be prorated accordingly for the 1st month.
A membership for swim lessons can be set up for automatic monthly billing for your convenience.
Payments will be credited or debited on the 1st of each month.
Make up classes are not guaranteed. It may be possible if there is an open spot in another class. A make up could be arranged, but again NO GUARANTEE. We also have 4 lesson and some will have 5 based on the calendar. Over a period of 2-3 months this will even itself out.
To opt out of the next month’s session and avoid being billed, you must notify the front desk prior to the 25th of the month.
Cancellations must be submitted anytime during the session but MUST be submitted any time before the 25th of the month.
If you stop a class after the month begins, you will not receive credits and/or refunds.
Swim Classes are taught in our state-of-the-art indoor heated pool.
It’s warm and sanitized for swimmers.
Our instructors are Red Cross (W.S.I.) certified, with many years of experience.
A parent (or guardian) accompanies each child in the pool.
Parents introduce their child to the water through songs/games.
Children learn to fully submerge and “prone” float with breaths held.
This class is designed for the reluctant, fearful or “first time” swimmer and is designed to make the child comfortable in the water.
Skills include kicking, supported front and back float, breath while under water, jumping into pool.
Students will learn to submerge and hold their breath for 5 seconds as a prerequisite to this class.
They will begin basic arm and leg movements for swimming, safe entry and exits from a pool.
Students should be able to float and propel themselves unassisted on their front and back for a short distance.
In this class the child is introduced to the front crawl and elementary backstroke, treading water.
Breaststroke kick is introduced as well as swim techniques for swimming underwater.
Students must be able to tread water for at least 30 seconds and swim at least 60 yards using front crawl and elementary backstroke to enroll in this class. Advanced stroke techniques and conditioning will be introduced along with more advanced strokes like breaststroke and introduction to the movements of butterfly, head first diving and competitive swimming skills (i.e. flip turns are also introduced in this class).
